Nestled in the heart of Eagle Pass, Texas, Rio Grande Restaurant impresses locals and visitors alike with its authentic Mexican cuisine. Customers rave about the affordability and deliciousness of the dishes served, reminiscent of "grandma-made" meals. The homemade tortillas are a standout, elevating every bite, whether you're enjoying the delectable chicken flautas or the rich machacado in salsa paired with refried beans. Breakfast shines here, as highlighted by reviews praising the chilaquiles and breakfast tacos. Diners appreciate the kind and attentive service from the staff, ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere. While the restaurant has limited hours, the experience is deemed well worth the wait, even if the menu is navigated with gestures due to a language barrier. The friendly demeanor of both the service team and owners creates a familial feel that enhances the dining experience. Although parking may be tight, it’s a small trade-off for the flavorful dishes and genuine hospitality found at Rio Grande. For those seeking authentic, hearty Mexican fare in a cozy setting, this "hole-in-the-wall" gem is highly recommended and promises a memorable culinary adventure.

Bien Rico Todo! Highly recommended if you want affordable delicious grandma made food. Very nice service from all of the employees! My plate was the chicken flautas and my husband had the machacado in salsa with refried beans. Tortillas are homemade

This is my first time in this restaurant, but the chilaquiles that I got were very tasty, I got some scrambled eggs on the side, everything tasted good, I would definitely go to this place for breakfast again. The girl who served me was very kind.

Very good and tasteful breakfast tacos and plates! Customer service is very good, very attentive, fast service and very polite. Prices are very decent and fair compare to others. Parking area is rather small but usually there's space close by. Highly recommended, stop by and enjoy!

The best "hole-in-the-wall" Mexican restaurant you'll find in Eagle Pass. They're only open during certain hours of the day, but it is worth it. The wait staff may not speak English for the most part, but just point at the menu and they'll get you a taste of delicious that you wouldn't believe.

I go have breakfast here almost every Monday, love the queso Panela con Chile plate But its a small place and always so packed, and the waiter forgets to be checking up on what u need. You have to be yelling out for a waiter or for things u need!

This place is awesome for breakfast. Every time I go visit family, this is a must stop. Salsa and flour tortillas homemade. Yum

A little spot tucked away in the heart of downtown. This restaurant is authentic Mexican food and is steps above from the Tex-Mex food that is forced on to us in South Texas.
